For transport companies

Another source of work, without giving up anything you already have.

ZeroLanes brings the customer and holds the standard. You keep your own customers, your own fleet, your own drivers and whoever else you already take work from. Nothing on this page asks you to leave anything behind.

We are asking you to add a source of work, not to replace one.

Most transport companies already run their own direct customers alongside whatever broker-fed work they take on, and there is no reason a new one should require a decision about the old ones. What we think is worth your attention is the mechanism rather than the pitch: a job here cannot be won by being cheapest, because there is a floor below which no bid is accepted and because price is only one of the things the award is scored on. If you have ever been squeezed on a job you then had to run properly anyway, that difference is the whole point.

The mechanism

How a job reaches you, and how it is won

ZeroLanes quotes the customer one fixed price

Before they book, and it does not move afterwards for traffic or a longer route. What the job pays you is settled separately and never changes what the customer was told.

The job goes out with a floor and a ceiling

Both set by ZeroLanes. The floor is what makes the job worth doing properly, and no bid below it can be accepted by anybody, at any tier, on any job. That single rule is the difference between this and a race to the bottom.

You bid inside the part of the band your tier unlocks

Every invitation carries its band. A better record widens the room you have within it, measured upward from the floor, so the operators with the strongest records are the ones who can earn a premium.

The award is scored, not auctioned to the lowest number

Price is one input among several. Punctuality, acceptance rate, proximity and trust tier are weighted alongside it, and together they outweigh it, so an unreliable company cannot underbid its way to the front.

The winning bid is your payout

Not a number reduced afterwards by a commission you find out about later. It settles through Stripe Connect on a published schedule, and every job’s payout line is visible in your control panel.

Trust tiers

Autonomy is earned, and can be lost

A tier is not a badge. It sets how much of the bidding band you may use and what kind of work you are shown, and it moves on your record: punctuality, the rate at which you accept what you are offered, and jobs completed.

Provisional

Where every company starts, including the founding ones. You bid near the floor and take work while a record is built. Nothing about the compliance gate is lighter here: a provisional company is new, not less checked.

Standard

Earned on turning up on time, accepting the work you are offered and completing it. The bidding band widens, and business account journeys become work you are invited to.

Preferred

The full band, and first look at the work that pays best. It is earned the same way and it can be lost the same way: a service failure costs margin and priority long before it costs a place on the network.

The split

What you run, and what we run

Yours

  • Your own customers, your own direct work, and any other source of jobs you already have. Nothing here is exclusive.
  • Your fleet and your drivers, added and managed by you in your own control panel.
  • Your roster: who is on, which driver is in which vehicle, and when.
  • Your coverage: the service areas you declare and the hours you actually want to work.
  • The decision on every single job. An invitation is an invitation.

Ours

  • The customer, and the relationship with them from the quote to the complaint.
  • The price the customer pays, and the floor and ceiling the job is bid inside.
  • The compliance check on every company, driver and vehicle, and the expiry dates behind it.
  • The award itself, on a score with rules that are the same for everybody.
  • The responsibility when a journey goes wrong. It was sold under our name.

The same terms as everybody else, including the first two.

Commission, bidding bounds and trust tier rules come from platform-wide settings rather than from a per-company deal. There is no field anywhere in the system in which a founding partner can be given better terms than a company that joins later, which is deliberate: the moment terms are negotiable one by one, the scoring stops meaning anything and the network is back to being a set of private arrangements.

Joining

What onboarding requires

Onboarding is a review, not a sign-up. You apply, we verify, and a person approves your account. Until that is finished you are not offered work.

Every one of those is reviewed by a person at ZeroLanes and stored with its expiry date. That last part is the one that matters day to day: when a document lapses, the driver or the vehicle it belongs to comes out of dispatch automatically, so nobody on your roster is quietly working on an expired licence while you are busy.

Documents are collected during the review rather than uploaded to this form, so nothing sensitive is handed over before there is a named account to attach it to.

Apply

Put your company forward

Eight fields and a person reads every one. We check your operator licence, your public liability insurance and your company details against the register, and come back to you either way.

We check this against the register. If it does not match we come back to you rather than refusing outright.

Do not send documents yet. Once we have read your application we will ask for your operator licence and public liability insurance by email, and put them on file against your company ourselves.

Rather talk to somebody first? Send us a message. If you were looking for a car rather than for work, the group site points you at the booking site.
