One group, separate transport companies.
ZeroLanes is the company customers deal with. Underneath it sit distinct operations, each with its own market and its own licensing, and a platform the group built to run them. What follows is what exists today, and what does not.
What the group runs
ZeroLanes UK
The private hire service, live at zerolanes.co.uk. Airport transfers, business travel and point-to-point journeys, quoted at a fixed price before booking.
- One price, fixed at booking and unchanged by traffic or a longer route
- Every driver licensed, every car insured for hire and reward, verified before dispatch
- Opening one region at a time, starting with Greater Manchester
ZeroLanes TruckingNot built yet
A freight line for the US market. It will be built separately rather than adapted from the UK product, because the licensing, the equipment and the customer are all different.
- A separate company, not a mode added to the cab platform
- US market, US licensing, its own compliance regime
- Name not yet settled
WhitelabellingNot built yet
The platform itself, rebranded for a transport company to run under its own name. Not a branch of the group: a product the companies working with us get.
- The dispatch, pricing and compliance engine, under someone else’s brand
- Published under the operator’s own developer accounts
- Sequenced after the UK service is properly established
The platform is the point
Every company in the group runs on the same engine: the same pricing rules, the same compliance gate, the same way a job is awarded. That is what lets a second company be a real business rather than a rebrand.
A price is fixed before anything moves
The customer sees one number, set before booking. What it costs the group to run the journey is settled separately and never changes what the customer pays.
Work is awarded inside a band, on a score
Transport companies bid within a floor and a ceiling ZeroLanes sets. The floor is what makes the job worth doing properly; no bid below it can be accepted, so the award cannot be won by undercutting alone.
Compliance is a hard gate, not a preference
Licences, hire-and-reward insurance, MOT certificates and DBS checks are verified by ZeroLanes. An expired document removes that driver or vehicle from dispatch automatically, without anyone having to notice.
Autonomy is earned, and can be lost
A company that runs well moves up a trust tier and earns a wider band and first look at premium work. A service failure costs margin and priority long before it costs a place on the network.
The job is sold under our name, so the job stays our responsibility.
That sentence is the reason the group is built this way rather than as a broker passing work along. A customer books ZeroLanes and deals with ZeroLanes. Which company drives the car is ours to arrange and ours to answer for.
